Troubleshooting
The most frequent problems and their solutions. The number one reflex: read the server's Console tab, which almost always shows the cause.
The server will not start
- “requires running the server with Java…”: change the Docker image in the Startup tab (see the right Java version).
- “You need to agree to the EULA”: accept the EULA (see Minecraft).
- The server stops by itself, with no clear error: it is probably short of memory. Increase Memory in Build Configuration, or lighten the server (mods, render distance).
- “Address already in use”: two servers are using the same port. Change the main port of one of them.
- Stuck on “Installing”: open the console to see the installation script. If there is an error, use Settings → Reinstall Server.
My players cannot connect
- Check that the server is started and that the console says it is ready (for example Done for Minecraft).
- Check the address:
node.nebus.app:PORTwith the server's port, or your dedicated IP. The panel address (your-name.nebus.app) does not work for playing. - Without a dedicated IP, the port must be one of your 100 ports (shown in the client area).
- With a dedicated IP, the port must be assigned to the server in the panel.
SFTP does not work
- Make sure you use the SFTP protocol, not FTP or FTPS.
- The username has the form
name.identifier(see the server's Settings tab), and the password is that of your panel account. - Host and port: the ones shown in SFTP Details (see Files and SFTP).
“Panel unavailable”
This page appears when the panel is being installed, is suspended (expired subscription, see Billing) or when the address does not exist. Check its status in the client area.
Forgotten password
- Panel password: on your panel's login page, click Forgot password? and enter the e-mail address of your panel account. The link comes from
no-reply@nebus.app. - Client area password (app.nebus.app): click Forgotten your password? below the login form. The link you receive is valid for 1 hour.
